So Christmas has came...and left just like that!! BUT...This was the most memorable Christmas we've had yet!! Again, Nothing extravagant..Just being with family around this time and keeping up with our family traditions were enough for me. I love this time of year!!
Christmas eve..We spent @ my sister Teresa's house. We have the kids open 1 present on Christmas eve and make cookies for Santa and also put together our Gingerbread House. I love these traditions and I hope to make sure Lala will carry them on or do something similar when she is older. Anyway, after that we came home and we made some more cookies to leave out for Santa (wink wink) at our own house. Lala, being the smarty pants that she is also wanted to leave Santa some cupcakes & Oreo Truffles we made earlier..thinking that the more treats she left out for Santa...the more presents he would bring her!!
I found it funny but still let her know that Giving is more important than receiving..Yah it didnt click with her too well because Christmas morning she yells out "See mommy?..Santas did brought alots alots of presents!!"
We'll keep working on that though!! =)
Christmas morning was fun. After opening presents, Teki cooked a lovely breakfast!! I dont really let him cook much but I must say..My honey can cook!! I think only when he REALLY wants too.
After resting a little while we got ready to go to our Christmas dinner with Teki's mom...then our Christmas dinner with my family. I feel like thats another blessing for us..We are able to spend most of our holidays with both sides of our families!! Im so thankful for that..because not everyone can do that.
The weather, by the way...Sooo Bad!! It was really a blizzard out there, although it was beautiful..I am always a nervous wreck in the car..and Im not even the one driving!! But Im just soo terrified of being in a car while its snowing.
Anyway, that was our Christmas..A beautiful, loving, warm, fun, quiet Christmas!! I dont think I could of had it any better!!
