TURKEY DAY WEEKEND

What a week it has been!!
This was another memorable Thanksgiving weekend that I enjoyed so so much. I mean..we didnt even do anything HUGE but just being able to see family members from out of town and spending time with everyone was GREAT for me!
My sister and her little family came down from San Francisco..and my mom's sister and her grandkids came down from Los Angeles.
Wednesday was pretty fun preparing for our big dinner...My mom is the Best Cook EVER to me and she was on a roll this year!!
I swear that woman can do 100 things at 1 time..I'm so Thankful for her..She's my Hero.
Thursday of course we all gathered at my mom & dad's where we had our wonderful dinner and just sat around talking, laughing and letting the kids run wild around the house. Also planning for the Blackout Friday Sales..which I unfortunately was absent from this year due to my ever expanding belly!! Teki was not having it!! I also had my dad on my case telling me I dont need to go. I knew they were right though, I couldnt imagine a fun day of shopping for sales while wobbling everywhere anyway! Ugh..I was a mad woman last year and I enjoyed every minute of it...but it wasnt so bad to sit it out this year..because there is always next year!! :-D
My sisters on the other hand were quite the shoppers this year!
Friday came and all 3 of my sisters were out enjoying the madness..afterwards we gathered at my house and just sat around with the kids while our husbands went golfing.
I can seriously have so much fun just sitting around with my sisters and doing a whole bunch of nothing.
Lounging. Thats what I love. I wonder if thats weird. Anyway when the guys got back later we all planned a little trip to see the lights at Temple Square!! I seriously love doing this every year too!
This year was awesome..My mom's sister and 2 of my sisters are not LDS, so for them to go with us..it just made it more exciting for me!
They loved it..They asked questions about the Temple and the Joseph Smith building and other buildings around. I was happy to explain what I knew and more happy to see the interested look on their faces! Last night was fun though.
So that brings us to today..Saturday. My sis Trina & my auntie Millie left this morning..I was a little sad.
I just had a lazy day today..which I think is totally fine! Everyone is allowed a lazy day. My sisters Teresa & Josey had taken Lala to her dance practice she just started attending, along with my nieces Lousa & Ili.
I love how they can all do things together while their so young, their all so close and I love that.
Anyway, Teki & I watched my bro-in-law's football game..who by the way won!! That was exciting..and now I have a little bit of time to get our things ready for church tomorrow.
I just love unwinding like this though..The kids are sleeping, Teki is at his little part-time job, and I'm doing laundry, laying out clothes, blogging and going down my To Do List for tomorrow.
This is part of my routine as a stay at home mom and I love it. Im sure every stay at home mom has a routine of their own...
Anyway I had a GREAT weekend...Im so Thankful for that.

Just Be Thankful....

So things happen for a reason...Yah Yah..I know that! But it doesn't seem so easy to understand when it happens to you!
I guess its worse when you least expect it. Some people become hateful then start wondering "Why Me"??? Or you choose to stay depressed and not look on the bright side of things.
All these emotions and feelings were exactly what was going through my head when my Dr told me today that I wont be able to have any more kids after I give birth to our 3rd baby in January.
I immediately thought..What the hell did I do to deserve this?! Why would THIS happen to ME?!
Thinking about these thoughts make me soo ashamed right now, because you know what? Its not about Who, What or Why...because awful things happen to good people all the time.
Ive come to realize that I was selfish in those first few hours of thinking about all this.
What I failed to do was stop and think of what I've already been blessed with and that the Lord wouldn't give you more than he knows you could handle.
I had to call Teki and give him the news because my mom was the one who was with me at my appointment today, he immediately told me "Hon..Its gonna be okay! We have 2 beautiful children and 1 on the way..That's enough in itself".
Me being stubborn...I really didn't want to listen to him saying this. I wanted him to know how I was feeling..and I was feeling mad, confused, and hateful. But he seen what I had not at the time.
It didn't really hit me until my mom and I were in the car driving home and I was just crying thinking of the horrible news I just received...thinking of only myself..and of what I wanted...it wasn't until my mom had put her hand on my arm and said "Sweetheart, I know how your feeling right now and I understand your hurt..but please think of all the women who are not able to have even 1 child, the women who can not carry out their babies full term and end up losing them before they even had them. Think of those ladies Lisa and be grateful that God has blessed you with the children you already have. My heart goes out to them..and although it seems so bad, just know that things happen for a reason."
I can seriously tell you..I pretty much felt like I was about 2 inches tall!!
I didn't stop to think of all that..I didn't stop to think of those women who are trying so hard to have just 1 child..and here I am with 2, soon to be 3!! It hadn't dawned on me that I'm not the only one suffering in this world, there's things way worse than my situation happening today and I'm over here acting like a planet fell on me!! So when I got home, I laid down and thought of all the things I should be Thankful for...sooo many things..Its unbelievable.
Just a few to mention though..would be:
My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, My Husband & Children, My MOM & Dad, My Family altogether, I'm Thankful for My Church, Great Friends & also My Health.
All these things keep me grounded and remind me that I am one lucky lady.
It turns out that with me having previous C-sections with Maddison & Ty...I fell into the 2% group of women who's placenta has settled into the scar of my C-section. Meaning..if they perform a normal C-section, they'll cut into the placenta and there's a really big chance I'll bleed to death. So what will happen is right after the baby is taken out, the Dr will have to perform a hysterectomy. Because my Dr told me this is life-threatening..I've become even MORE Thankful that there is a way around it.
So when I compare not having any more children vs. not being here with them anymore...Well...Its not a comparison!!
Its another reason to Thank God for what he's already given you.
I'm Thankful for so much and I've learned a really huge lesson. Sometimes..that's what it takes for you to see such things and I could never think so selfish again. I cant wait until our baby Hunter is here..He'll be our last child and a reminder of this huge lesson.
But nevertheless..He'll be here. So when your feeling like things couldn't get worse for you..stop and think that there's a reason for these things and it does get better. Look on the bright side of every bad situation your presented with...there's always something good to look forward to afterwards.
What a coincidence that this would be brought to my attention around Thanksgiving! I love my family and all that I have and so for that...I'll just be Thankful.

Football Weather...

So Saturday finally came...along with the ugliest football weather we could have imagined!!
Ooh..it was not a pretty sight. But that didn't stop us from going to cheer on Uncle Yamz at all.
We had soo much fun!! Its been 6 months since Teki had seen 2 of his brothers(Yamz & Jackson) and I have to tell you..seeing these 3 together is so much fun! Their as close as can be yet they all live in 3 different states. Yamz & Krystal live in Eugene, Oregon...Jackson & Lauren live in Pleasonton, Ca...and of course Tek & I live in Utah but we have so much fun when we all meet up.
Anyway, we made it to his game @ Cal which was pretty cool. It poured almost the whole game..we made sure we dressed the kids in at least 3 layers of clothes each along with their big coats and then rain ponchos.
Umm..that didnt stop us from being drenched at all!! Despite the ugly weather, Lala & Ty were enjoying the game which surprised me.
Afterwards we were able to see Yamz and enjoy the little time we had with him.

Happy Halloween!!

What a busy week it has been for us!!
So much to do in so little time..yet we still manage to do it all!
We decided to spend Halloween in San Francisco this year, My oldest sister Katrina resides there so why not..right?!
Coincidently my bro-in-law Will, who plays for Oregon University..had a game @ Cal so with that..we planned on doing both Friday & Saturday.
Thursday was a nice busy fun day visiting my grandparents and spending time with my sis and her little family, driving across the bay to visit Teki's other brother Jackson & his little family.
Friday was pretty hectic..but very fun! We had to pick up my sis-in-law Krystal(Will's wife) from the airport, attended my nephew's play (Curtis) which was soo adorable, then did all our shopping for our Halloween treats!!
The weather by the way...Not very pretty! Cold, windy & slightly raining. Very Halloweenish if you ask me!
Nevertheless, we were still very excited to get the night started.
So Katrina, Krystal and myself finished our shopping, came home and started on our "Spider Cupcakes" right away, somehow managing to keep the kids calm and out of the kitchen, putting them in their costumes and snapping pictures galore!
After ordering pizza and making more treats than we could ever eat..we decided to head out Trick-or-Treating!!
Everything was going great with us being the only ones out..no waiting in line or even shuffling past others!
It wasnt until Lala started seeing other Trick-or-Treaters in different costumes..Thats when the meltdown came!!
She was so terrified of all the scary masks and costumes..she was screaming hysterically!! She seen the mask of Jason with a saw..and it was over! She then asked her daddy to "take her back home pleeeaasse".
I felt soo bad..I kind of knew it would happen..I guess I was HOPING it wouldnt. She's soo prissy and she was so comfortable seeing all the "Pretty" costumes, I just forgot to prepare her for the scary ugly ones.
We continued on while Teki & Lala headed back to the house.
About 15 min later..Teki called me and said "Ok hon..I've given her a pep talk and she's ready to go back out!!
I was really happy to hear that!! So I continued with our group while Tek & Lala went on their own. We met up with them on a corner and what do I see?! Lala with her bag so stuffed that she was practically dragging it.
I was so happy, I gave her a hug and told her that she was such a good sport for coming back out.
She was really proud of her self!!
We went back home and enjoyed the rest of the night eating, playing & laughing.
